Andrew Joslyn, a violinist/violist, has worked with some of Seattle's most transitional artists in rock, folk, hip-hop, and electronic, including Kris Orlowski, Sol, David Bazan, Ivan & Alyosha, Lonely Forest, Allen Stone, and Macklemore. While studying music composition in college, Andrew broke from the regimented routine of his classical training and delved into his own exploration of contemporary music. Now a seasoned performer, composer, and arranger, he's part of the Seattle Rock Orchestra and is continuously expanding the the perceived limits of classical strings and giving other genres that big live sound with layers of instrumentation; delivering a far cry from the Auto-Tune hits of the recent past. Andrew has a deep dedication to creating new and different sounds, he can go from commissioning an entire orchestra to playing and recording each individual stringed instrument himself.

Andrew is a friend to the strong arts and music community of Seattle. Originally from Bainbridge Island, Andrew comes from a creative and arts-loving family. His brother, Chris Kattan spent nine years as a cast member on Saturday Night Live and is most remembered for the club classic "A Night at the Roxbury," his father was also a musician and his mother, a model and artist.
