BIOGRAPHY
Creeping out the unaware public since late 2008, THE CREEPER (vocals), STEW MANCHU (guitars), THE WOLFMAN (bass), and YOUNGBLOOD (drums) are The Screaming Starts.
In early 2009 this group of seasoned musicians recorded a six song EP that caught the attention of Seattle radio station KISW and almost immediately made their first of several appearances on it's popular weekly radio show “Loud and Local...”. The Screaming Starts’ music is heavy, riff-driven rock and roll that has been described as MC5 meets Turbonegro with a shot of Black Sabbath adrenaline shot directly to the heart. This sound is a natural evolution of their combined influences that include The Doors, The Sonics, Social Distortion, Rise Against, Iron Maiden and Fu Manchu.
In the summer of 2010 they returned to Seattle’s Egg Studios with legendary producer Conrad Uno who has worked with such renowned bands as Mudhoney and Presidents of the United States of America. The Screaming Starts’ first full-length album, "Wash Away the Blood,” is the product of this exciting collaboration. Tireless workers, the band rarely passes up the opportunity to play one of their engaging live shows. So put on your leather gloves and grab your straight razor, ‘cause these creeps want YOU... to be their stalker!
