BIOGRAPHY
Originating in the Pacific Northwest, Mad Mardagin(Martigan) formed in 1996 as a high school garage band. Taking influence from popular alternative bands such as Fugazi, Radiohead, Nirvana, man-or-astroman?, The Ventures, Neil Young, Bob Dylan & Johnny Cash the band would play many covers as well as a handful of original songs. After high school the original members drifted into several other music groups. Andy (Drew) Kocher continued on and played drums in 'The 11th Hour', Ben Larson (Bass) plays folk music and children’s songs and Luke Dubsky (Guitar/Vocals) went on to play guitar in Orange County’s college group: 'Iconoclast' and Bass in IKNDY & Oahu, HI based punk/screamo band: 'Kid Brother'. Recently, Dagen Bendixen joined to play the Lap Steel Slide Guitar & Drums. In 2007 Mad Mardagin began recording several songs again at The Hive Recording Studio in Seattle as well as several home-recordings during this time. Also, most recently is the addition of several electronic songs and a few other full albums as well as Travis Green filling in on drums for some live shows. Mad Martigan has recently created several video clips at www.youtube.com/lsdubsky which feature original music & covers as well as a few clips of recent concerts of other bands in The Pudget Sound Area and some skateboarding and surfing videos from Hawaii.
