BIOGRAPHY
Oliver Orion writes most of his songs on long walks. He grew up in Tulsa, OK but has since lived on small islands in Maine and Washington, in New York, New Mexico, China, and Venezuela before coming to Tangier this year. The small high-desert towns of the Western U.S., foggy islands on both Coasts, the dusty petroleum camps of Lake Maracaibo, and the cityscapes of three continents have all influenced his writing and playing. Oliver sings about the constancy of human will, anxiety, dreams, and food products. Sometimes he strums, sometimes he makes animal noises, sometimes he performs with puppets, and sometimes he does none of those things. He currently teaches drama and plays music in Tangier, Morocco.
