BIOGRAPHY
FICTITIOUS is a new breed of hip-hop; a collective of like minded artists rallying around an intelligent and positive message. Rooting themselves in intense word-play and beautiful language, their music is an unparalleled homage to story telling and poetry. As performers, the members of FICTITIOUS bring an intensity that can both freeze a crowd in place and make the dance floor erupt in cheers.
Since the summer of 2008 the collective has been growing, experimenting, and exploring many facets of music with many different collaborators in an attempt become and remain a positive, yet driving force in the hip-hop community. The FICTITIOUS Collective has expanded from just The Elegant Eccentric (Dub-E) and Rixe, to include two more vocalists, Kay Nahm and Prophecy, Eric Peterson, a veteran percussionist (with three decades of kick-assness under his belt) as well as producer Rick Nobbins and the stalwart DJ, DJ Bookem.
FICTITIOUS has proven themselves to be a rock solid live show that can excite any crowd. They've opened for acts as big as Sole and The Skyrider Band, JFK (Grayskul) and Onry Ozzborn (also of Grayskul and Dark Time Sunshine) as well as well known local acts Macklemore, Khingz, Champagne Champagne and Mad Rad.
