India and Cuba! Two great countries that go great together. Cigars with chai tea, samosas with salsa, and Anjuman where Rumba meets Raga! This creative ensemble has found a unique and uncompromising way of combining the rhythmic vitality of Afro-Cuban and salsa drumming with the melodic poignancy of East Indian ragas. True fusion of the two styles, not just a layering of sounds. The members regularly travel to India and Cuba to study and hone their skills.
