BIOGRAPHY
Exit to Main has a history of shifting lineups dating back to 2002 in the small town of Rockton, Illinois. Jason Graber was riding shotgun and giving directions to high school chum, Graham Prohaska. "You must take the exit to main or state" are the words Jason uttered. Graham heard the words and knew it had to be the name. Jason agreed. Graham, Andrew Caccamo, and Jason jammed for about a month under the name and then Jason became a musical whore and left to join another band. In 2005, Jason reunited with Andrew and recorded four albums worth of golden material in about a year (some great stuff. I still have these albums if anyone is interested.)
Jason moved to Seattle in 2006. He found a great musical chemistry with the powerful and creative drumming of Anthony Brock and the classically trained and caffeinated genius, Ray Allan. This power trio lasted only a year and sadly only recorded one EP, Many Somewheres.
Bassist/keyboard/sound manipulator, Tim McClanahan, joined the group in 2009 and has been involved in one of Exit to Main's most creatively fertile periods. We have a compilation of recorded material that will be released this summer called Shadow Tuning. Then we will be working on a full length LP.
Exit to Main has a unique musical aesthetic that is the result of our eclectic music-listening habits and the diversity of musical projects we're involved with.
