Drawing FACES and PORTRAITS class
SEATTLE ART CLASSES:
Drawing
Faces and Portraits
Nils Osmar, instructor
In this enjoyable step by step workshop, held on the University of Washington campus and sponsored by the UW's ASUW Experimental College, students will learn how to draw realistic faces and portraits using an easy method. The method works both for drawing from imagination, and getting a better resemblance to your subject when drawing from life or from photos. Drawing materials are provided at no charge by the instructor.
You'll learn how to find the facial proportions, and sketch them in lightly; how to draw the features, including the eyes, mouth, nose and ears; how to draw different styles of hair; and elements of expression and emotion in the set of the features.
The instructor has taught art classes for over twenty years. His artwork has been published and showcased in the United States, Japan and Italy.
