prerequisites
No equipment is necessary to take the class! We will have several cameras that will be used for demonstrations. (Computers and footage will be provided for the editing portion of the class.) Students do not have to own a professional quality DSLR camera for this class to be relevant.
Instructor: Navin Kulshreshtha
Most of today's digital cameras will allow you to shoot HD video with minimal gear. (In fact, they are currently being used professionally to film broadcast-quality TV shows, commercials and videos.) Our one-day crash course will introduce you to the exciting new world of digital filmmaking using DSLRs and other "still" cameras. We cover all of the basics to get you up and running quickly, including: cameras, lenses, audio, shooting video, editing, exporting and publishing your final film. Although we'll be using Adobe's Premiere Elements software, the techniques explored are applicable to any video editing application. This class is taught by an experienced filmmaker.
